As last year, on Christmas Eve we were visited by Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, Apostolic Nuncio in Poland. He came at the time of the Midday Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours, so he prayed together with us, and then gave us greetings and blessings from Pope Francis. He also gave us a calendar issued as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the Polish State and the Holy See, dedicated to Pope Pius XI – the first Apostolic Nuncio in reborn Poland.
There was also a moment of cordial conversation with sisters and Christmas wishes.
Now we know that on Christmas Eve we should always expect a “surprise”!
