Until September 2, in front of our monastery, you can see the exhibition Benedictine Nuns of the Blessed Sacrament and Redemptorists in the Warsaw Uprising. It presents the tragic fate of thirty-four nuns from our monastery and thirty religious from Karolkowa Street in Warsaw’s Wola district, murdered by the Germans in August 1944. During World War II, these two sacrifices became the largest blood sacrifice among consecrated persons.
The exhibition was prepared on the basis of the book by Fr. prof. UKSW Paweł Mazanka CSsR I am afraid of death under the rubble. Benedictine Nuns of the Blessed Sacrament and Redemptorists in the Warsaw Uprising, published in 2020.
